Who we are Rockstardevelopers, founded in 2015, offices in Stuttgart and Munich. From hundreds of projects for enterprise and medium-sized customers, we know how to build software that will last in an emergency. Now we're moving to the next level: AI forward deployment.
We go to our customers, find the workflows that can be automated with AI, and build productive systems right where the work happens. No slide decks, no proof-of-concepts for the drawer. Code that runs and is committed.
Short channels, honest feedback, no political games. There is no hierarchy level between you and the people who make decisions. Where we are now We are early in this transformation, and this is exactly your opportunity.
Those who get involved now are shaping the AI practice that others will only serve in a few years. You decide how we run boot camps, which stack we use, and how AI is really received by the customer. You don't become number 50 on a finished AI team.
You are part of the cohort that is building it. The foundation is already in place: In the next few months you will continue to deliver real full-stack projects in our stack (Java, Spring Boot, Angular). This is our foot in the door.
It is precisely this customer trust that we use to land AI projects. At the same time, you will help build the AI practice: the first agent workflows, RAG pilots, the toolchain, the boot camp formats. What you do You are not a developer who sits in the corner and processes tickets.
You are drawn to where the work happens: close to the customer, close to the problem. Today about our full stack projects, step by step deeper into the AI solutions that you build for the customer. Today, the foundation: deliver full stack.
Real projects in Java, Spring Boot and Angular, NestJS increasingly. Clean, productive code at the customer's end, not at the bank. Weave AI in.
Where appropriate, you bring LLM building blocks into existing projects: an initial automation, a RAG pilot, an agent for a specific workflow. What you are working towards and helping to build the path there: On site with the customer. You sit with the people who have the problem.
You are where it arises. Conduct boot camps. 5-day intensive formats in which you and the customer team go from a vague wish to a functioning MVP.
Something is going on on day 3. Building AI systems. Agent workflows, RAG pipelines, tool integrations.
Open source stack, MIT licensed. The customer keeps everything. Surrender and let go.
You don't just build, you empower. Pair programming with the customer's developers, architecture documentation, training. After the pilot, the internal team continues to work independently.
Think about governance. Regulated environments are our focus: GDPR, BAIT/VAIT, EU AI Act. You don't have to know everything by heart, but you shouldn't shy away from it.
Who we are looking for senior level. 8+ years of professional experience overall, not specifically in AI. We know that AI workflows have only been around for two years.
What we need: a strong full stack developer with solid fundamentals in our stack (Java, Spring Boot, Angular) and a real move towards AI. You have already worked with LLM APIs, RAG or agents, at least seriously on the side, ideally productively. Not a gimmick on your own computer, but something that worked.
It's the combination that counts: the full stack substance to deliver to customers today and the hunger to build the AI future with us. For us, AI experience is not a nice additional qualification, but rather a directional decision. Anyone who only wants to do full stack and thinks AI is hype is in the wrong place.
And anyone looking for pure AI research without customer contact is also welcome. Just as important as the tech stack: you have to be able to talk to customers. You stand in front of the CFO in the boot camp and explain why this workflow is being automated first.
You sit with clerks and understand their everyday life. If that makes you uncomfortable, the role isn't right. One exception to the senior level: If you're really strong in AI and can show what you've built, we're talking even if you've worked for fewer years.
Tech stack must have so that you deliver today: Java and Spring Boot (our main stack) Angular in the frontend (React is welcome) Solid basics: relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar), Docker, Git and CI/CD First, demonstrable experience with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI or others) and basic knowledge of RAG or agents Nice to Have: NestJS, TypeScript Python (will be your second Main tool, see below) Deeper experience with RAG or agents Our AI target stack, this is where we grow you (trainable): Python as the main AI language LangGraph (our agent orchestration), MCP (Model Context Protocol) Claude SDK / Anthropic API, LiteLLM, Langfuse, DuckDB Terraform You don't have to bring this target stack with you. We train internally: You learn LiteLLM in one week, Langfuse in two days. It is important that you have the full stack basics right, that you quickly familiarize yourself with new tools and that you are part of the AI journey with all your heart.
What we offer A transformation that you help shape. You don't come into a finished system, but rather build the AI practice from the start. Work on real projects.
Full stack for large customers today, productive AI systems tomorrow. No slides, no “Innovation Lab”. Variety.
Different sectors, different problems: finance, insurance, public sector, industry. Open source first. Not a proprietary stack that you can't use anywhere else.
Internal upskilling. We invest in your AI skills (EXO 3.0, Agent Passport, certifications). MacBook, unless the customer provides their own hardware.
Flat hierarchies. The founders are your direct contacts. A team that knows each other, even when working distributedly.
To be honest: This role thrives on proximity to the customer. You are regularly on site, DACH-wide. If you only want to work remotely, this is not the right place for you.
Sound like you? Apply. No cover letter necessary, CV is enough.
If you have built something on the side (GitHub, blog, side project with AI), send it along. We will get back to you within a few days. Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
