Senior Fullstack Developer (m/f/d) - Authorities & Public Sector

Who we are Rockstardevelopers, founded in Mannheim in 2015, additional offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software developer with experience from hundreds of individual projects for enterprise and medium-sized customers. Short channels, honest feedback, no political games.

No hierarchy levels between you and the people making decisions. Your tasks You work on projects for public clients - such as the Federal Employment Agency, ITZ Bund or Bundesdruckerei - embedded in their teams, with full responsibility for your area. Full stack development in regulated enterprise environments Help shape architecture, not just implement it Generate, review and refactor code with Claude Code, Copilot or Cursor Code reviews and technical mentoring in the team Coordination with product owners, UX and DevOps What you bring with you Senior level.

Our customers need people who deliver and work independently from day one. Solid backend core (that's what we expect): Java (17+) and Spring Boot REST interfaces, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle or similar) Docker and Kubernetes CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Git, agile work Frontend (one of them safe, both a plus): React / Next.js or Angular, each with TypeScript Also relevant in the government environment: accessibility (BITV 2.0 / WCAG AA) DevSecOps / Security by Design Experience in regulated environments or in the public sector Advantageous (not a must): Apache Kafka / asynchronous communication Microservices, Domain Driven Design, JPA/Hibernate Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), Object Storage (S3) Tests (JUnit, Jest, Playwright, Cypress) You don't have to be able to do everything. It is important that you are confident on both sides and can quickly find your way into new stacks.

For us, AI experience is not a nice additional qualification. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor: You have to be able to work productively with this. Not because we want to be hip, but because our customers expect it and that's how we work.
