Environment and Community Development Coordinator

Second Floor Foundation - Hybrid position (with one month of in-person onboarding) Purpose of the position Accompany, strengthen and monitor environmental initiatives and community and productive development in territories with vulnerable conditions, from a systemic and regenerative approach that integrates environmental protection with the well-being of the communities. Main responsibilities Coordinate the complete cycle of the strategies supported by the foundation in the areas of environment and community/productive development: design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and closure. Technically accompany partner organizations in the development of logical frameworks, budgets and schedules.

Carry out field work and territorial visits, dialoguing with communities, allied organizations and actors local.Facilitate participatory evaluation processes and systematization of learning.Document experiences and generate clear reports for institutional decision making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Development, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Geography, Environmental Engineering, Community Development or related areas. Master's degree in Sustainability, Rural Development or Socio-Environmental Studies is desirable. Experience in civil society organizations, cooperation or socio-environmental projects with direct work in the field.

INDISPENSABLERegenerative and environmental justice approach (non-conservationist), with understanding of the interdependence between territory, community and local economies. Availability to travel frequently. CompetenciesIntercultural sensitivity and human rights approach.

Ability to translate socio-environmental diagnoses into viable and culturally relevant proposals. Ability to articulate with CSOs, communities, academia and authorities local.ConditionsSalary range: up to $30,000 net monthly, depending on experience and profile.Statutory
