The Director of Safety & Training will develop, implement, and oversee company-wide safety policies, compliance programs, onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and continuing education for field and office employees.The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in construction or solar safety who is passionate about developing people, reducing risk, and building scalable training programs that support operational excellence.What You'll DoSafety LeadershipDevelop, implement, and oversee SpartanX's company-wide safety programEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practicesConduct safety audits, field observations, and jobsite inspectionsInvestigate workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while implementing corrective actionsDevelop and monitor safety KPIs, incident reporting, and compliance metricsMaintain all required safety documentation and regulatory recordsPartner with leadership to promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organizationTraining & DevelopmentDevelop and maintain onboarding programs for new employeesCreate role-specific training programs for field and office personnelOversee technical training for installers, electricians, service technicians, inspectors, and operations teamsDevelop leadership training programs for supervisors and managersCoordinate ongoing education, certifications, and compliance trainingEvaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvementsOperational SupportCollaborate with Operations, Construction, Service, Electrical, HR, and Executive LeadershipStandardize operational procedures and best practices across departmentsSupport new market expansion by implementing consistent training and safety standardsMaintain training records and employee certification trackingAssist leadership with workforce planning and employee development initiativesLeadership ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop safety and training personnelEstablish departmental goals, performance metrics, and accountability standardsPresent safety performance and training updates to executive leadershipPromote a culture of continuous improvement, professionalism, and accountability

Qualifications

Previous leadership experience in construction, electrical, or solar operations requiredExtensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standardsExperience developing and delivering employee training programsStrong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skillsExcellent organizational and project management abilitiesExperience conducting safety audits and incident investigationsAbility to communicate effectively with field personnel, managers, and executive leadershipStrong presentation and public speaking skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and training management systemsPreferred

Qualifications
