Team leader network planning funded fiber optic expansion (m/f/d)

Organizational classification The network planning team leader for supported fiber optic expansion is responsible for the technical and disciplinary management of the network planning team. The position reports to the department management or technical management and works closely with project management, construction management, documentation, municipalities, engineering offices and other internal and external project participants. Job objective You will take responsibility for the economical, high-quality and timely planning of funded fiber optic expansion projects.

Tasks Technical and disciplinary leadership of the network planning team Control, prioritization and further development of team resources Responsibility for the planning and optimization of funded FTTH networks Review and approval of preliminary, draft and implementation planning Coordination of route, network and capacity planning Control of external engineering offices and planning service providers Coordination with municipalities, network operators, utility companies and authorities Ensuring the quality, deadlines and economic viability of network planning Further development of planning standards, processes and quality guidelines Participation in Tenders and award procedures

Qualifications

What you bring with you Completed studies in the field of telecommunications, civil engineering, geoinformatics, surveying or a comparable field Alternatively, technical training with appropriate further training and professional experience in fiber optic expansion Several years of professional experience in the planning of telecommunications or fiber optic networks Experience in managing employees or in managing complex projects Knowledge of subsidized broadband and fiber optic expansion Confident use of GIS systems, planning software and Microsoft Office Knowledge of the relevant standards, guidelines and the HOAI and VOB Business fluent knowledge of spoken and written German Personally, you will impress with your leadership and sense of responsibility Structured and analytical way of working Organizational and project management skills Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team Confident demeanor towards municipalities, authorities and service providers Personal initiative, decision-making skills and negotiation skills
