The ideal candidate is agile, strategic, and hands-on. You will be trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, and possess excellent communication and facilitation skills.

You will drive a safety-first culture in which every worker onsite is empowered to identify and mitigate risks, and in which contractors consistently deliver on program safety performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Field CoverageDirectly manage a team of contract construction EHS technicians, setting daily assignments, coverage schedules, and site priorities to ensure boots on the ground across all active work frontsEnsure techs are physically present and walking the work each day - not desk-bound - verifying coverage against the day's construction activity and adjusting deployment as sites ramp up or downCoach, develop, and hold techs accountable for the quality and consistency of their field observations, hazard identification, and real-time correctionsRide along and conduct joint site walks to spot-check tech performance, calibrate standards across the team, and reinforce expectations in the fieldServe as escalation point when field personnel identify issues that require stop-work authority or leadership interventionProgram Ownership and StrategyLead the development and ownership of the EHS construction oversight program for a defined area, including data collection, trend analysis, and program governanceDesign, develop, and deploy EHS programs and initiatives across construction and commissioning activityEngage in strategic planning, risk mitigation, and on-time delivery across multiple concurrent projectsDrive a culture of continuous learning aligned with organizational goals and objectivesContractor Management and AccountabilityConduct pre-qualification evaluations of potential vendors and communicate EHS expectations prior to award and site accessEnsure contractors deliver on program safety performance expectations and contractual agreement
