GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Data Scientist Senior to transform how government agencies use data. Our work depends on a hands-on data scientist joining our team to design and implement artificial intelligence solutions supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Hosting, Operations & Maintenance (HOM) program.HOW THE DATA SCIENTIST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Accelerate our work by integrating advanced AI capabilities across our suiteAccelerate the use of and evaluate the efficacy of AI coding tools across the teamImplement both custom-built and vendor/COTS AI solutions, hands-on, from prototype through productionDesign and implement AI solutions for automated program accomplishment tracking and reporting, including intelligent classification systems and proactive knowledge managementImplement generative AI (GenAI) with large language models (LLMs) and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) to deliver precise, data-driven responsesBuild an agentic framework enabling service ticket management, account administration, and intelligent journey orchestrationWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fieldExperience: 5+ years of experience as a data scientist in AI/ML with a proven track record of deploying production solutions required; 8+ years of experience as a data scientist in AI/ML with a proven track record of deploying production solutions preferredStrong AI/ML coding ability, with the capability to implement both custom and vendor-based solutions independently and use of AI coding toolsExperience with generative AI (GenAI) using large language models (LLMs)Strong foundation in machine learning, statistical analysis, and experimental design with both quantitative and qualitative dataExpertise in AI/ML cloud technologies (preferably on AWS, including Bedrock, Lambda, and SageMaker)Experience integrating AI solutions with legacy enterprise systems and orchestration platformsFamiliarity with data engineering, ETL processes, data pipelines, and APIsStrong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to stakeholders and leadershipLocation: RemoteGDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.● Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunities● Support: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goals● Rewards: Comprehensive
