Heavy Machinery Mechanic

Summary We are looking for an experienced Heavy Machinery Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy machinery equipment such as trucks, cranes, excavators and other large machinery. This position includes both preventative maintenance and emergency repairs, both in the field and in the shop, ensuring machinery is kept in optimal operating condition.

The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, commitment to safety and clear documentation of repairs and parts used. Additionally, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic will support clients in person and through remote or virtual consultations, advising them on necessary repairs or maintenance and ensuring equipment is operating to manufacturer specifications. You will also be required to maintain detailed service documentation to support both on-shop and virtual interactions.

Candidates are required to have a modern smartphone with an active internet connection to efficiently manage orders and assignments through the company app. The ability to navigate mobile applications, digital platforms, and app-based workflows is essential to executing tasks and communicating seamlessly. Compensation ranges from $52,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and availability.

Job Specifics - Perform thorough inspections of heavy machinery equipment (trucks, cranes, construction machinery) to identify potential problems. - Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to evaluate and locate mechanical, hydraulic or electrical problems. - Repair major equipment components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and other critical parts. - Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, filter replacement and lubrication, to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. - Travel to job sites as needed to provide on-site diagnostics and repairs. - Work both in the field and in the workshop, depending on the

of the job and the condition of the equipment. - Analyze and solve complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems, implementing effective solutions. - Collaborate with other mechanics or supervisors to resolve difficult or unusual technical problems. - Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations when working with heavy machinery, tools and hazardous materials. - Ensure that all repairs and maintenance are carried out in compliance with safety and environmental standards. - Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, parts used and work performed in each service. - Provide detailed reports to supervisors and clients on the status of equipment, repairs made, and recommendations for future maintenance. - Properly use diagnostic tools and repair equipment, keeping them in excellent condition. - Report damaged, missing or defective equipment to management in a timely manner for replacement or repair. - Stay informed about the latest technologies, machinery and diagnostic methods in the heavy machinery industry. - Participate in relevant training programs, certifications and workshops to improve skills and knowledge.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required). - Technical certification in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Machinery Repair or related fields (preferred). Experience - Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy machinery repair and maintenance (required). - More than 5 years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy machinery (preferred). - Experience with electronic diagnostic tools and equipment (preferred). - Solid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems (required). - Understanding of safety regulations and industry standards for heavy machinery (preferred).
