Fraud Data Scientist L2

Data Scientist focused on fraud prevention, you will play a key role in the design and development of models that help identify anomalous behavior, suspicious transactions and fraud-related patterns. You will work with large volumes of data and apply supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques to strengthen our fraud detection systems and automate decision making. This role requires a solid understanding of imbalanced classification issues, strong feature engineering skills, and the ability to adapt models to changes in user behavior and new fraud strategies.

Experience in fintech, banking, insurance or other industries with a strong focus on fraud prevention and automated controls is preferred. Responsibilities Data Analysis and Modeling: Explore large sets of transactional and behavioral data to identify patterns associated with fraud. Model development and validation: Build and validate classification models using machine learning techniques adapted to imbalanced data problems (fraud vs. non-fraud).

Feature engineering: Create derived variables that improve the performance and generalization capacity of the model, avoiding overfitting. Cross-functional collaboration: Work with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of models within decision flows. Monitoring and Iteration: Track the performance of models in production and iterate based on changes in user behavior, fraud trends, or adjustments to strategy.

Research and innovation: Stay updated on advanced machine learning techniques for fraud detection in transactional digital environments.

Requirements
