Requirements

for availability, security and auditability. Tasks You take technical responsibility for our productive Ceph clusters and continuously develop their architecture. You operate, administer and optimize Ceph RBD as well as the Ceph Object Storage with RGW and an S3-compatible interface.

You plan and implement upgrades, expansions and lifecycle measures and implement them in a structured and largely automated manner. You analyze performance, capacity and stability problems and develop sustainable solutions to them Fix You continuously develop our automation with Ansible, Python and Git and reduce manual interventions through reproducible processes You integrate Ceph into our cloud platforms, especially in OpenStack and Kubernetes environments You continuously optimize monitoring, alerting, capacity management and our technical operating standards You process complex incidents and problems in 2nd and 3rd level support, carry out root cause analyzes and derive sustainable improvement measures You document architectural decisions, operating procedures and automation in a comprehensible and audit-proof manner You support colleagues as a technical contact person, actively share your knowledge in the team and promote professional exchange

Qualifications

Several years of professional experience in engineering and operation of complex Linux and storage infrastructures Sound practical experience with Ceph in productive environments Very good knowledge of Linux as well as a sound understanding of distributed systems and their architecture Experience with error analysis, performance tuning, capacity planning as well Upgrade and lifecycle processes Good knowledge of automation with Ansible and ideally Python Confident use of Git and comprehensible, version-controlled working methods Solid understanding of network technologies such as routing, DNS, firewalling and NAT Analytical, structured and solution-oriented way of working Enjoyment of taking on technical responsibility and representing decisions in a comprehensible manner Good German and English skills, spoken and written Completed IT training, a technical degree or a through relevant professional experience acquired equivalent qualification
