Accountant / Senior Accountant - HGB financial statements & controlling (m/f/d) - 100% remote

You can not only prepare financial statements according to HGB, but also create them largely independently and still enjoy working operationally in the ERP system yourself. As an accountant / senior accountant, you will take responsibility for our monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. At the same time, you will relieve our team of accounting, reporting and controlling issues and actively develop our finance processes.

In the finance area, too, we rely on reliable data, efficient processes and sensible automation. As we are a small finance team, this is not a purely coordinating or strategic position.

We are looking for an experienced finance personality who can go into depth on a technical level, but who will continue to book, coordinate, check and solve operational issues themselves. Tasks You take on technical responsibility, but continue to work operationally in accounting and in the ERP system. Your tasks: Largely independent preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) Responsibility for ongoing financial accounting, account reconciliations and closing entries Preparation of advance sales tax returns and other tax reports Preparation of reliable financial data for reporting, forecasts and management evaluations Support of our CFO with accounting, finance and controlling questions Collaboration with budgeting, liquidity planning, target/actual comparisons and variance analyzes Support with Debtors, project billing, payment transactions and receivables management Collaboration with tax consultants, auditors, banks and authorities Further development and automation of our accounting, reporting and controlling processes You don't have to program any automation.

Your profile: Completed commercial training with further training as an accountant or a comparable qualification Several years of practical experience in finance and accounting Very good knowledge of accounting according to the German Commercial Code (HGB) as well as experience in largely independent preparation of financial statements Sound understanding of controlling, reporting, forecasts and business indicators Willingness to take on professional responsibility and at the same time work operationally in accounting Confident use of ERP and accounting systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, as well as very good Excel skills Strong understanding of data, systems, interfaces and digital finance processes Structured, careful and independent way of working with a high level of reliability Analytical thinking and the ability to present complex issues in an understandable way Enjoyment of questioning, developing and sensibly automating existing processes Interest in modern digital tools and the use of AI in everyday finance Clear communication and reliable collaboration in a completely remote team Very good Knowledge of German and good English skills for our international environment
