Requirements

: Strong hands-on experience with network infrastructure and securityExperience with segmentation, firewalls, endpoint security, XDR, and access controlExperience securing Cloud (Azure and/or AWS) and on-premise environmentsKnowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, GDPR preferredA proactive, accountable approach with a focus on owning outcomesConfidence in working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Responsibilities: Lead the security of complex enterprise networks across cloud and on-prem environmentsConfigure and optimize security tooling such as segmentation platforms, Sophos, Mimecast, XDR solutions, and vulnerability scannersManage firewalls, VPNs, secure remote access, and segmentation controlsImprove detection and response workflows alongside SIEM/SOC teamsEnsure critical logging, monitoring, and compliance standards are metAutomate deployments and controls using PowerShell, Python, Terraform or similar toolsSupport vulnerability assessments and drive remediation across the estateContribute to secure design reviews for applications, infrastructure, and cloud services(Incident response experience is desirable but not essential) Technologies: AWSAzureCloudSupportNetworkPowerShellPythonSecurityTerraform More: We are seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our growing security team in Central Bristol, offering various hybrid working arrangements.
