You will take on technical responsibility for our operational accounting - from ongoing bookkeeping to the final monthly financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB). At the same time, you will actively help build: insourcing accounting, NetSuite introduction (~2027), process design. You don’t manage - you create.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED Several years of in-depth accounting experience - both hands-on in ongoing business as well as in setting up and further developing robust processes. Secure according to HGB (preparation or final preparation for the StB). Solid professional foundation: Your completed economics degree with a focus on accounting forms the basis - alternatively, a completed accountant examination with corresponding in-depth professional experience.

It is crucial that you understand the logic and connections behind the numbers (P&L, balance sheet, double-entry bookkeeping), not just the execution of individual bookings. Very good IT knowledge: confident in Excel/Google Sheets, ideally SQL user knowledge - and essential experience with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite), in process structure as well as in operational application. and cope with tight deadlines without sacrificing quality. Fluent in German and English (group language is English). Confident, realistic handling of AI tools: you know what they can do, what their limitations are and how to use them efficiently and purposefully.

Nice-to-have experience in an agency, scale-up or medium-sized service provider. Personally, we are looking for someone who can structure a dynamic and fast-moving situation independently, can lead professionally without being a superior (convincing instead of ordering), has a high tolerance for hands-on work and can deal honestly with their own knowledge gaps. In the remote setup, you work independently, in a structured, reliable and results-oriented manner.
