Sr. Staff Engineer

If you like solving complex problems with real impact on the product, defining how things are built and raising the level of the team, this role is for you. At Bunker you will be part of the AI ​​Studio team as a Staff Engineer, working at the intersection between AI, engineering and user experience. We are looking for someone with technical depth, pragmatic criteria and an “owner” mentality, capable of combining hands-on execution with decisions that allow us to scale without slowing down the team's speed.

We work side by side with coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of daily life, not as an experiment. We are looking for someone who already uses them judiciously: who knows when to delegate to them, when not to, and how to review their output without losing quality or technical control. Responsibilities: - Technically lead the team, raising engineering standards and accompanying other developers in key decisions. - Contribute to the design, construction and evolution of the end-to-end product: backend, infra, integrations with LLMs and key frontend components. - Directly contribute (CI) at the code level to unlock, validate and accelerate key technical decisions. - Make technical decisions with a focus on simplicity, scalability and speed.

Requirements

• +7 years of experience developing and shipping systems in production. - +4 years of transversal technical impact or team leadership. - Strong command of Python (FastAPI) and , with experience in MongoDB. - Experience designing backend systems and working with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS or similar). - Ability to work with ambiguity, take technical ownership and mentor. Criterion to prioritize simple and effective solutions.
