NotarPartner builds the digital working environment for the German notary's office - by notaries for notaries. Instead of copy-pasting from Word templates: enter data, select regulation, download document ready for signature. Over 140 law firms already work with us, plus digital files and AI assistants.
We have just completed our financing round. In the next few months we will scale from around 120 to 2,000 affiliated notary offices. We are building an in-house engineering team for this purpose.
As an engineering lead, you lead our development team and at the same time write code yourself. You will join a team of three permanent engineers, product, which will grow in the next few months. Short paths, direct line to management, technical decisions without committees.
Tasks You lead our engineering team professionally and disciplinarily: 1:1s, further development, clear expectations, honest feedback. You stay hands-on. A significant portion of your time continues to flow into code, reviews and architecture work with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL.
You are responsible for the technical architecture of our multi-tenant platform and make it ready for the jump to 2,000 notary offices - performance, data model, reliability. You help build the team: you sharpen profiles, conduct technical interviews and help decide who joins. You make AI the standard - in the product (certificate generation, document analysis, agentic workflows) and in the development process itself.
You ensure reliable delivery: planning, quality standards, deployments, incident handling. You work closely with product, design and notaries and translate between notarial practice and technical implementation.
Qualifications
