NotarPartner builds the digital working environment for the German notary's office - by notaries for notaries. Instead of copy-pasting from Word templates: enter data, select regulation, download document ready for signature. Over 140 law firms already work with us, plus digital files and AI assistants.
We have just completed our financing round. In the next few months we will scale from around 120 to 2,000 affiliated notary offices. We are building an in-house engineering team for this purpose.
You are one of the first permanent engineers in this team - with real influence on architecture, product and pace. Tasks - You develop features end-to-end: from the idea to the React/Next.js frontend to the Node.js services and the data model in PostgreSQL. - You build AI functions into the product - certificate generation, document analysis, agentic workflows - and use the most modern AI tools in daily development. - You make the platform scalable: multi-tenant architecture, performance and reliability for the jump to 2,000 notary offices. - You further develop interfaces, including the XNP export to the Federal Chamber of Notaries, the Word add-in and exports to common law firm software. - You work directly with product owners and notaries - short distances, no ticket loops, you talk to the people who use the software every day. - You help shape our engineering standards: code reviews, architectural decisions and building a team.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a full stack engineer, with projects that you independently brought from start to production. - Very confident in React, Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js; Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL (Supabase) and/or NoSQL databases. - Real enthusiasm for AI tooling (e.g. Claude) and agentic workflows - you don't just use them, you think in them. - Strong product understanding: You first ask what problem needs to be solved and only then how to build it. - German at a native speaker level (C2). Our product thrives on notarial specialist terminology - it doesn't work without linguistic precision. - Residence in Germany and willingness to attend occasional team meetings. Nice to have: Experience in legal tech or other regulated industries, with multi-tenant architectures or with data protection-critical systems.
Benefits
- Salary: €50,000 - €65,000 fixed salary incl. VSOP - VSOP participation: You benefit directly from the company's success - with a clear exit focus in the next 3 to 5 years. - 100% remote within Germany, plus workation phases (e.g. two weeks in Spain). - Trusted working hours and 30 days of vacation. - State-of-the-art AI tools as an integral part of the workflow - not as a pilot project, but as a standard. - Strong team (3 passionate engineers, product owner, notary, sales team), maximum personal responsibility and real participation instead of help. - Regular team meetings in Hamburg, Berlin. Sound like you? Then apply - a CV or your GitHub/LinkedIn profile is sufficient, we don't need a cover letter. This is how it works: 1. Getting to know each other: 20-30 minute video call with our CTO - about you, the product and your view of it. 2. Practical Task: a compact, practical task (e.g. a small web app) - AI support is expressly desired. 3. Deep Dive: joint evaluation of your solution and getting to know the team. We will then make a decision quickly. We are looking as soon as possible. Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
