THE ROLE 📝   As a Senior Software Engineer at Form3, you’ll work on established, high-volume services that sit at the heart of Form3’s cloud-native payment platform. These are critical systems where reliability, resilience and operational excellence matter every single day.  This is a role for engineers who enjoy evolving critical systems at scale. This could include enhancing existing payment capabilities, improving service resilience, simplifying complex systems, reducing operational risk, or building new functionality into mature services without compromising stability.     WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 🏗️   <ul> <li>Designing, building, and running cloud-native microservices in Go that are the backbone of our real-time payments platform  </li> <li>Building systems that are highly available, low-latency, and scalable, handling billions of payment requests with precision and resilience  </li> <li>Taking full ownership of services: from initial design and implementation to deployment and production support  </li> <li>Working with a mindset where cost-efficiency, observability, and operational excellence are core to how we build  </li> <li>Collaborating closely with other engineers in a flat, autonomous team structure, with a strong focus on code quality, simplicity, and continuous improvement  </li> <li>Working with modern tooling and technologies such as Golang, Kubernetes, CockroachDB and NATS JetStream in a highly automated DevOps environment  </li> </ul>    WE’RE LOOKING FOR 🔍   <ul> <li>Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems  </li> <li>Enjoys working on complex challenges within critical software where high performance and robustness are essential  </li> <li>Familiarity with cloud and containerisation technologies, test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines  </li> <li>Interest in owning projects end-to-end and supporting them as they go live in production   </li> <li>Appreciation of clean code and software engineering best-practice   </li> <li>Experience with Go, along with a “right tool for the job” mentality   </li> <li>Great communication skills who enjoy sharing knowledge and collaborating with others  </li> </ul>    TECH STACK ⚙️   Here are a few of the tools and methodologies we utilise:    <ul> <li>Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes   </li> <li>Platform: CockroachDB, NATS JetStream, Elasticsearch, Vault, Cilium  </li> <li>Tools: Terraform, Flux, GitHub, Prometheus, Pact.io, Tilt  </li> <li>Code: Go (and a little Java), containerised microservices, CQRS, open source   </li> <li>Ways of working: TDD/BDD, Pair Programming, 100% remote, SecDevOps  </li> </ul>    THE TEAM 👥   At Form3, our engineering team is the backbone of everything we do.
