Network Engineer - Glasgow

Salary: £45,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements

: Extensive technical background with Cisco routing and switching technologies.Strong understanding of the technologies and challenges in data centre environments.Broad understanding of Juniper network environments (EX/QFX Switching, SRX Firewalls) - JNCIP preferred.Strong understanding of Juniper SRX security appliances.Experience in analyzing and upgrading network resources, including router/switch/uplink upgrades.Experience in deployment and maintenance for the trading, WAN, and public network infrastructure.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Excellent stakeholder management skills.Financial Services experience is beneficial.Nice to Haves:Experience of network design in large data centres.Experience with Arista low latency switching environments.Understanding of VXLAN/EVPN deployment and management.Network Automation/Programming experience using Python and/or other scripting languages.Thorough understanding of Linux and Windows Server OS.
