About the Role

: As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you'll train towards becoming a registered healthcare professional, working alongside pharmacists to ensure the safe, accurate and lawful supply of medicines. This is a genuinely demanding apprenticeship that will stretch you academically and professionally - you'll develop deep clinical knowledge, sharp technical skills, and real responsibility for patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

: Preparing, assembling and supplying prescription medicines accurately and safely, in line with legal and clinical standards.Providing clear, person-centred advice on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, and referring appropriately to pharmacists or other healthcare professionals. Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including stock control, ordering, business processes and clinical governance.Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, orders and patient records accurately. Supporting and helping to train pharmacy support staff as you progress.

Contributing to audits, service evaluations and continuous improvement. Maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality and patient safety at all times. Qualification: Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level).

On successful completion, you'll be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician. Training delivered through blended learning alongside your role.
