Then apply at our locations in Nuremberg, Aschheim, Berlin or remotely within Germany. Tasks You take technical responsibility for central components of our productive OpenStack platform and continuously develop its architecture. Your focus is on OpenStack networking, especially on Neutron, as well as the integration of virtual networks into our data center and backbone infrastructure.

You analyze complex packet flows via compute nodes, virtual switches, overlay networks, routers, firewalls and load balancers. You continue to develop and work on the network architecture for IPv4 and IPv6 with routing, NAT, DHCP, DNS, security groups and floating IPs You plan and support upgrades, migrations and lifecycle measures of the OpenStack platform on your own responsibility You automate recurring tasks and platform changes with Ansible, Python, Terraform or OpenTofu and Git Monitoring, alerting, capacity management and technical operating standards You continuously develop further performance, stability and scaling problems You analyze complexes across several technical levels You work on incidents and problems at the 2nd and 3rd level and derive sustainable technical improvements from them You work closely with our network, storage, Kubernetes and automation teams You document architectural decisions, operating procedures and automation in a comprehensible and auditable manner You support inexperienced colleagues and actively share your knowledge in the team

Qualifications

You have several years of professional experience in the engineering and operation of complex Linux, network or cloud infrastructures Practical experience with OpenStack in productive environments sets you apart. You have good knowledge in the area of OpenStack networking, especially in Neutron, OVN or Open vSwitch. Very good Linux knowledge and a sound understanding of virtualization are part of your profile.

You are confident with network basics such as routing, switching, VLAN, overlay networks, MTU, DNS, DHCP, NAT and firewalling. You have experience in systematic error analysis across several technical levels You are experienced in automation with Ansible; Ideally, you also have knowledge of Python, Terraform or OpenTofu with Git and a comprehensible, version-controlled way of working is a given for you. You have experience with monitoring, performance analyzes as well as upgrade and lifecycle processes.

You enjoy taking on technical responsibility and representing architectural decisions in a comprehensible manner. You have good knowledge of German and English. Completed IT training, a technical degree or a comparable qualification with several years of professional experience round off your profile.
