EPC Manager / Owner's Engineer (m/w/d) - Utility-Scale Solar, BESS, Wind

Renergo is developing large open-air PV areas, wind farms and battery storage (BESS) nationwide - and is now taking the next step as an independent power producer (IPP): from a pure project developer to an operator of its own systems. To build up our EPC management, we are looking for experienced colleagues who take on real responsibility and like short decision-making processes - you report directly to the management. As the first appointment in this area, you will help shape it from the ground up with us - a decentralized team of around 18 people - and work with us to make a difference against climate change.

Tasks Overall technical responsibility in EPC management, especially our PV and BESS projects - as a central technical authority (owner's engineer) together with Renergo's existing project managers Creation and enforcement of internal technical guidelines and specifications Technical evaluation of solutions and components - e.g. B. Battery storage types, manufacturers, degradation curves and system design Support and acceptance throughout the entire project cycle: Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), construction site inspections and on-site acceptances together with the EPC contractors / subcontractors Control of the EPC negotiation of complex delivery and EPC contracts including technical specifications and payment terms - in coordination with the commercial side and project management Support in the creation of technical plans and specifications, especially in the area Grid connection and cable route planning, PV designs.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in EPC management, owner's engineering or in the technical project implementation of PV open spaces and/or battery storage (BESS) in Germany - no lateral entry Completed studies in electrical, energy or civil engineering or a comparable qualification Sound technical know-how on PV and/or BESS systems, components and manufacturers; Experience with FAT and construction acceptance Experience in negotiating and contractually drafting complex delivery/EPC contracts including payment terms Existing network and concrete market knowledge in the German PV/BESS environment Willingness to travel for on-site appointments (construction sites, appointments with suppliers, FAT) Fluent German and business fluent English skills (international suppliers) Independent, responsible way of working and the willingness to take on real responsibility.
