and supporting licence compliance across Capita and its Clients.Job title:Software Compliance AnalystJob Description:This is a key role focused on ensuring compliance, reducing financial risk, and identifying meaningful cost‑optimisation opportunities.Essential Experience Required:Demonstrable experience delivering accurate, effective licence reconciliationsStrong working knowledge of complex licensing for at least one major Tier‑1 vendor (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP) - ideally covering multipleProven experience with end‑to‑end major vendor audit processesAbility to “hit the ground running” - this role requires someone already experienced in hands‑on licensing complianceUnderstanding of modern/emerging technologies and associated licensing implicationsComfortable working alongside technical teams (Architects, Analysts, Consultants)Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to simplify complex licensing topicsSC Cleared or eligible to gain SC clearanceIT background with experience in IT Asset Management / Software Asset Management environmentsDesired Experience:Hands‑on experience with SAM tooling, ideally Snow or FlexeraUnderstanding of EUC, infrastructure and cloud technology domainsAbility to articulate complex licence positions in a clear, concise mannerIAITAM or any SAM equivalent certificationsYou’ll join our growing ITAM function at a pivotal time - stepping into an environment with high visibility, significant client demand, and the opportunity to shape best practice.What you’ll be doing:Ensuring accurate reporting of vendor complianceDeveloping optimized vendor licence positionsWorking with Data Analysts to correctly identify software products that have been discovered on the hardware estateIdentify opportunities to reduce licensing costs across all of Capita & Clients to achieve cost savingsProcess Proof of Entitlement to manually match to applications, where automatic reconciliation is not possibleReviewing / importing new purchase information from third party systemsDeveloping and improving SAM lifecycle processesQualifying and verifying all data sources required for SAM processingAnalysis of market changes and assessing impact on vendor licensingAbout CapitaCapita is an outsourcer, helping clients across the public and private sectors run complex business processes more efficiently, creating better consumer experiences.
