Senior Quantitative Developer

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

: Masters Degree or PhD qualification in science, computing, mathematics, or other quantitative subjectsSolid experience in code development using PythonExperience developing in an Agile environmentProficiency with math/stats & testing libraries and modern build toolsAbility to refactor code and work effectively with legacy systemsKnowledge of Object Orientation, Software Architecture, and Design PatternsGood understanding of software testing practices (unit testing, integration testing, etc.)Familiarity with TDD and BDD is a strong plusExperience with DevOps practices and tooling (CI/CD, containerization, etc.) is desirableFamiliarity with mathematical and statistical models related to finance, particularly derivatives pricing and risk management systemsHigh level of interest in Energy / commodity marketsStrong communication skills and fluency in EnglishStrong interpersonal skills Responsibilities: Produce high-quality increments to the teams model library, both individually and collaborativelyProvide leadership in areas such as object modelling, interface design, automated testing, refactoring, and performance optimizationSupport Trading & Origination on model usage and behaviorLeverage the teams cross-asset expertise to connect business locations and identify synergiesAssist in the development of structured products across Renewables, LNG, Gas & Power sectorsConsult on software design, systems architecture, and software engineering practices Technologies: CI/CDDevOpsSupportPythonTDD More: We are more than an energy company; we are a family of brands dedicated to revolutionising how we power the planet.
