Engineering Manager (all genders)

Your tasks: - You lead several of our engineering teams - you are responsible for the engineers, for the team culture and for what the teams deliver. - You are responsible for implementation: you translate strategy into measurable goals and take action if results are not achieved. - You work with your teams on customer-facing products and the backend systems behind them. - You work closely with Product and ensure that your teams adhere to quality standards instead of delegating this task. - You work with our staff engineers to ensure that the architectural orientation and the actual implementation are coordinated. - You establish transparent decision-making processes, moderate conflicts and resolve misunderstandings before they escalate. This is you: - You have already gained professional experience in managing and supporting engineers. - You have several years of professional experience in software development, including practical technical management - web-based solutions, API design and server-client interactions. - You bring solid backend experience and enough breadth to lead design and architecture discussions with senior engineers - from infrastructure and platform topics to customer-facing web and mobile products. - You are a strong communicator, decisive and assertive, with very good conflict resolution skills, empathy and a coaching approach. - You have a solid understanding of agile working methods and the technical challenges of software development. - You still build things with AI yourself - a prototype, a tool, an automation - and would like to continue to do this as a manager. - You speak English fluently; German is a plus.
