Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled SeniorBI Data Engineer to join our team and support the design, development, and optimisation of our enterprise data platform in Microsoft Fabric.In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing scalable data solutions within a modern Lakehouse architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers). Your work will ensure that high-quality, reliable data is available to enable impactful reporting, analytics, and business insights.The Senior BI Data Engineer role is remote-based, with occasional travel to sites.What a typical day looks like: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric using pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and notebooksIntegrate and consolidate data from multiple enterprise sources (ERP, CRM, APIs) into a centralised Lakehouse platformDevelop and manage Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, ensuring data is structured, clean, and business-readyTransform and prepare datasets using SQL and PySpark, ensuring high data quality and usabilityMonitor pipelines and proactively troubleshoot data issues, failures, and anomaliesImplement and maintain data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completenessOptimise data pipelines and storage for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency (e.g. partitioning, incremental loads, Delta/Parquet)Collaborate closely with BI Developers to support reporting, semantic models, and analytics use casesWork with stakeholders to understand data
