Requirements
: Extensive background as an infrastructure engineerProven skills in codingExperience with infrastructure hardening, maintenance, and engineeringWorking knowledge of Microsoft and Linux/UnixFamiliarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare)Experience with endpoint security products (e.g., Symantec, Trellix)Understanding of network security and firewallsProficiency in vulnerability scanning and analysisAbility to review code for potential security issuesDesirable experience in delivery and proposal environmentsProven track record as a 3rd line infrastructure engineerSolid experience in developing and automating processesWorking knowledge of SecDevOps tools and methodologiesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsHands-on experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, LogRhythm)Capability to communicate effectively with leadership and present in security working groupsGood commercial awareness and project disciplineMust be British or non-dual national with DV clearance or willing to obtain it Responsibilities: Support the update process for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applicationsConduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilitiesManage and update security definitions across our platformsAnalyze vulnerability assessment reports and implement changesPerform thorough daily checks of security componentsConduct daily system health checks for optimal server functioningMonitor and report on local system capacity, suggesting improvementsSupport application patching to enhance system performanceOversee log archiving and deletion processesUpdate local admin account passwords and manage account policiesImplement and manage resource and system monitoring toolsEnsure local server backups are conducted regularlyReview and update engineering and design documents periodicallySchedule and execute server and application reboots as preventive maintenancePerform full audits for interoperability and patch complianceOversee daily checks of Public Key Infrastructure and manage lifecycle of secretsExecute comprehensive vulnerability scanning and lead analysis of findingsReview code for potential security issues prior to production releases Technologies: SupportLinuxNetworkSecuritySplunkUnixVMwareAIJavaMachine LearningPowerShell More: At Leidos, we deliver innovative solutions and empower our diverse teams to achieve customer success.
