Backed by $15m in Series A funding from some of the leading investors in the space, we're ready to scale - and we want you to help us build and scale MyEdSpace as part of a collaborative and ambitious team.We're on a mission to make a world-class education accessible to all.We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of geography or socioeconomic background, to achieve their dreams and build a brighter future.If you’re motivated by solving meaningful problems and creating real impact through your work on a societal level and make a real impact on the world - we’d love to hear from you!Job Title: Finance AnalystLocation: London Office in Chancery LaneWhat You’ll be DoingYou'll be a core part of a small finance function, reporting directly to the Finance Manager, with exposure to the leadership team, the board and our investors from early onSuccess in this role looks like management reporting the business trusts, a close that runs to a predictable rhythm, and analysis that changes what leadership decidesRunning our month end close to deliver management accounts that senior stakeholders can act on with confidenceBuilding and maintaining our budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes to inform and underpin company strategyAnalysis and interpretation of business costs and performance against plan, providing insight throughout the businessOwning the finance operations that keep the company moving day to day, from payroll through to paymentsTaking end to end responsibility for our year end audit, statutory reporting and compliance calendarPreparing analysis and materials for the board and our investors, with the opportunity to take ownership of the financial model over timeScanning the horizon for bottlenecks in the finance function before they arrive, and targeting them with better process and automationDesigning and embedding the controls and routines a scaling business needs, so the function can grow without growing headcountManaging the relationships with the external partners who support our finance functionWhat We’re Looking ForA strong command of the fundamentals: financial statements, reporting, and the accounting that sits behind the numbersOne to three years at a Big 4 or another leading mid-tier firm, or in a finance team in industry, part qualified ACA or ACCAAmbitious, and looking to develop and progress quickly in a fast growing companyAdvanced Excel or Google Sheets, with strong financial modelling ability and the capacity to turn financial data into clear, actionable insightCommercially minded, and able to communicate complex financial movements clearly and concisely to people outside financeAn inquisitive approach to the day to day, with a desire to question and challenge the numbers and to understand the business behind themExcellent analytical and problem solving ability, highly numerate, with a real drive for accuracyA natural instinct to automate and improve rather than repeatComfortable operating in an ambiguous environment, managing changing and conflicting prioritiesStrong organisational skills, with a proven record of meeting and beating deadlinesExperience of Xero or similar accounting software preferred; familiarity with data and reporting tools an advantageSelf motivated, able to work autonomously, and conscientious with it✨ Our valuesPUT INTEGRITY FIRST Honesty matters.
