We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Automation Migration Engineer to lead migration and optimization of mainframe automation solutions from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and from CA Automation Point to IBM Systems Automation for Integrated Operations Management (SAIOM).
Key Responsibilities
Lead migration projects from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and from CA Automation Point to IBM SAIOM.Configure and implement IBM Systems Automation solutions, including policy-based automation for z/OSDevelop and maintain automation rules, REXX execs, and System Automation Policy Database (PDB)Provide installation, configuration, and troubleshooting support for IBM automation products.Collaborate with operations teams to improve startup, shutdown, recovery, and high-availability automation processes.Mandatory Skills and ExperienceProven experience in mainframe operations and z/OS automationHands-on migration experience from Non-IBM / ISV automation tools - especially CA OPS/MVS and CA Automation Point - to IBM Systems Automation solutions.Advanced knowledge of IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS.Working knowledge of NetView for z/OS and System Automation Policy Database (PDB).Strong TSO/ISPF, JCL, and REXX programming skills.Demonstrated experience in installation, configuration, documentation, and automation-related troubleshooting.Preferred / Additional SkillsKnowledge of SMP/E for software installation and maintenance.Experience with fully automated system configurations on IBM Z.Originally posted on Himalayas
