Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprentice

Apprentices will undertake a wide variety of tasks while supervised by a competent operative in 3 key build stages within the trailer manufacturing process. The 3 stages being: Chassis System Assembly & Installation Coach building Pre-Delivery Inspection Each stage will have an identified Supervisor with several Team Leaders to support the development of all operatives in the build stage. The tasks will vary depending on the build stage they are working in, but overall, each apprentice will gain hands-on experience in a wide variety of duties which include: Axle & Suspension installation Piping & Wiring including testing Bulkhead, Panel, Back frame & roof assembly Bearers, Side Raves, Flooring, Bulkhead, Panel, Back frame & Roof Installation Paint rectification duties Identifying defects or missing components Daily housekeeping duties Manual handling procedures Safe use and maintenance of Power, Air & Hand Tools
