Senior Data Governance Manager

The Senior Data Governance Manager is a strategic leader within Catalight’s Enterprise Data & Analytics organization, responsible for establishing, operationalizing, and maturing enterprise-wide data governance capabilities across the organization’s healthcare, analytics, and AI/ML ecosystems. Reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics, this role serves as the primary authority for data governance, data stewardship, metadata management, data quality, and regulatory compliance related to HIPAA, PII, and PHI. This role works closely with the Senior Data Architect, Senior Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Business Intelligence Analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data assets are secure, compliant, trustworthy, well-documented, and appropriately governed for operational reporting, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives.Enterprise Data Governance LeadershipEstablish, lead, and continuously mature Catalight’s enterprise data governance program, policies, standards, and operating modelDefine governance frameworks for data quality, metadata management, lineage, stewardship, access management, retention, and lifecycle managementDevelop governance roadmaps and maturity strategies aligned with Catalight’s analytics, AI/ML, and data democratization objectivesEstablish governance councils, stewardship programs, and cross-functional governance processes across business and technical teamsDefine and maintain enterprise standards for governed data usage across analytics and AI/ML workloadsHIPAA, PII PHI ComplianceServe as the primary subject matter expert for HIPAA, PHI, PII, and healthcare data governance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred; or 8+ years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, analytics governance, or related disciplines in lieu of a degreeDemonstrated experience leading or implementing enterprise data governance programs in regulated environmentsStrong expertise in HIPAA, PHI, PII, healthcare data privacy, and data compliance practicesHands-on experience governing cloud-based data platforms, preferably SnowflakeStrong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, stewardship models, and data quality frameworksExperience supporting governance for analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML ecosystemsFamiliarity with governance and cataloging platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or similar tools preferredStrong SQL and analytical data literacy skillsExperience collaborating with technical engineering teams and business stakeholders in cross-functional environmentsExperience supporting healthcare, behavioral health, payer/provider, or regulated healthcare ecosystems preferredRequests: Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (organized by our company values):Seeks to understand the underlying needs, desires, and values of colleagues.
