About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with operational ownership.Reporting to the IT Director, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our cloud-first IT environment, ensuring colleagues across the business receive an outstanding IT service while continually improving our infrastructure, security and systems.You'll be as comfortable troubleshooting complex technical issues as you are implementing new technologies, improving processes and working with third-party suppliers.This is a genuinely hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact across the organisation.What You'll Be DoingYou'll be responsible for:Managing and maintaining our Microsoft 365, Azure and cloud infrastructureAdministering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint and endpoint managementProviding responsive technical support and resolving complex user issuesStrengthening our cybersecurity posture through practical security controls and best practiceManaging device lifecycle, user access, patching, backups and business continuity activitiesWorking with third-party IT providers to ensure excellent service deliveryIdentifying opportunities to improve resilience, automate processes and enhance the user experienceSupporting infrastructure projects, upgrades and service improvementsAbout YouYou'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership and thrives in a collaborative environment.We're looking for someone with:Strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environmentsExperience administering Entra ID, endpoint management and collaboration platformsExcellent troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, devices and user supportGood knowledge of IT service management, patching, backups and change controlPractical understanding of cybersecurity and operational riskExperience working with third-party suppliers and managed service providersThe ability to prioritise competing demands while delivering an excellent serviceExperience with Dynamics 365, SharePoint and other SaaS business platforms would be advantageous, as would Microsoft, Azure, ITIL or cybersecurity certifications.Why Join BioPhorum?At BioPhorum you'll be part of a highly collaborative, ambitious organisation where technology is central to enabling our continued growth.We offer:A fully remote UK-based role with flexibility and work-life balanceThe opportunity to work with modern Microsoft cloud technologiesA supportive, high-performing and trusted teamThe chance to influence and improve our technology landscapeAn organisation making a genuine impact within the global life sciences sectorOpportunities for professional development and continuous learningAbout BioPhorumFounded in 2004, BioPhorum is the global collaboration community for the biopharmaceutical and MedTech industries.
